RECUMBENT TRIKE DOG ATTACK

am sure many of us have had to deal with loose dogs which come at us. Some are friendly while others are vicious acting. We never know what may result. For certain it is scary and unnerving. Nobody wants to get attacked by a dog and bit. I have experienced it and had to make a trip to the emergency room as I could look right down inside of my arm as a result of a bad dog bite. And the owner wasn’t even willing to pay for my medical bills. Here is a video by Ed Miller, a well known tadpole trike pilot. He is also known for his trike canopies .

Loose dogs are extremely dangerous. I have had a few incidents where they ran right in front of me and put me down when I was on bicycles and motorcycles. One of my friends had a loose dog run right in front of his bicycle and he suffered for months recuperating from his injuries. And most dog owners who allow their dogs to run loose have very bad attitudes and basically tell the victim “F____ you!” if you dare say anything to them.

  1. Although I understand his feeling of getting bit by the dog, I do not approve of a vendetta against a dog either, in which this rider was looking to do, and has so admitted to already, done once, or twice.. Dogs do need to be on a leash, so as not to attack passers by or be hit by passing vehicles as we seen in video 2.. I however do not approve of his vengeance on repeated reverse attack, in which this guy is baiting this dog so he has reason to pepper spray him, as he claims in this video.. The proper method is to call police and advise them of the attack and have them issue it’s owner a summons as he so also had been aware of, and is an enforcement issue, and not a revenge issue.. He had premeditatedly went home and retrieved the pepper spray gun, and went back to bait this dog into another attack in which he wants to spray the dog, hence creating an unsafe retaliation against the dog, and also putting himself into an unsafe issue…And then if things gone bad, he would blame the dog for the second attack, and sheds all responsibility from himself… I don’t think so… Also dogs cannot administer self help against the reaction of the pepper spray, and could die if an allergenic reaction comes from the spray.. Oh well to bad Old Sparky is dead, but it was his own fault, No…! It is his owners fault for letting him run freely without a leash, and control of him..! Report this to police, who are paid to keep peace and harm from the public, and not taking the law into your own hands no matter how pissed off you are…! That is like me saying I don’t like to be bitten either, so what I should go home grab my .038 and put two in the dog, and call it a day…! Nope not at all..! The dog has rights as well, and so does it’s owner who is liable for the dogs actions because the dog does not know it has rights, so it becomes the responsibility of it’s owner to care for and respond for it’s actions… I would however keep the pepper spray for times where you have no choice but take action, and hope this gentleman never gets attacked again…!
